Yeah. Right. I’ve heard this one before.
I remember, vividly, a Ministry Magazine cover of the early 80′s – an image of a scrap yard, with a 50′s car wreck bearing the bumper sticker “Jesus is coming soon”.

The proposition “Jesus is coming again, soon and very soon” is true only for certain carefully-chosen values of “Jesus”. The most immediately obvious value is “Jesus” = “Wishful thinking swathed in wilful ignorance”. In that case, the proposition in fact becomes a tautology about a great multitude of people.
