As repulsed as I am by religion, I have always attempted not to insult individuals in my subversion of this pathetic and ridiculous idiocy. Groups, however, like Christians, or Muslims, or Hindus, or Whatevers I readily insult for their agnosy. So it is again today, but I admit that to my regret it is also personal; directed against an individual.

News24 reports that Benny Dick (the sixteenth one, the current Pope) has declared that today’s world was characterised by a “dangerous culture of emptiness and senselessness”. Benny has called for a “New Europe” in which people, especially the young, could approach the “spiritual treasures” of religion.

What consummate crap!

Anyone believing himself to be the representative of some god here on earth is fucking psychotic. And people supporting such delusion are fucking mad too. There is no other way in which to communicate this stupidity. There is no PC way of calling idiocy by some other name.

How can there possibly be fulfillment or sense in a fabrication about a loving god who made us and sustains us and who will some day return to unite us with him in life everlasting? By what measure of maladjustment can such crap possibly be called “spiritual treasure”? By what measure of lunacy can such hallucination possibly bear and represent hope?

The “Papacy” is second in absurdity only to the greatest deception ever concocted – “God”.

Eight years ago a Chariot of Faith, gleaming from the assembly line of the Christian right, delivered George “Jesus-in-my-heart” Bush to the White House.

The Americans lay claim to a unique kind of “special” – said Joseph Lieberman during a campaign speech at Fellowship Chapel, Detroit, August 27, 2000, “We are, after all, not just another nation, but ‘one nation under God.’”

Yet, in 2001, a few months after the Religious Right swept to power, aircraft, large passenger jets, no less, were parked in the World Trade Centre and in the Pentagon. Thousands died. And many more thousands died in the ensuing wars. And are still dying.

I find it mind numbing that the representative of “God” on earth – The “Holy Father” can now ask “His Omnipotence” – at Ground Zero, the very scene of the disaster – for His blessing and repair and protection.

It was on God’s watch that the disaster happened… and here the same guy who fucked up is asked to please come protect us again!?

“Get back on the wall, Goddy – but watch out this time, will ya!?”

God’s incompetent, sorry ass should have been fired eons ago. But here Americans ask Him to help once more.

“We need your message that all human life is sacred and that each of us is willed, each of us is loved”… we won’t kill zygotes and fetuses, but we’ll slaughter innocent children in the streets of Baghdad – unintentionally, of course, and we’ll torture enemies of the State to within an inch of their lives, and capital punishment, well, we need to rid society of monsters… “in America you will find a people of prayer and compassion.”
