Religion: Respect? Ridicule!

The proposed South African Schools Oath

with one comment

For all its alleged shortcomings, the proposed schools oath for South African learners has the merit of not invoking some god and not referring to religion or other fairy tales.

The Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) has now also rejected the oath on the grounds that only one’s spouse, Jesus the C (not Mohammad or Allah, mind) and the Bible (not the Koran, mind) are worthy of oaths. Also, the South African Constitution can not be unconditionally endorsed because it is too “roomy” – what with space for homosexuals and God knows what other scum.

The South African Oath is far superior to the “one nation under God” bullshit that poor American kids have to recite.

I have an oath for the AFM: Fuck off!

Bid vir Oscar “reg “ toe man …..toe asseblief …
